Nightlord: Sunset by Garon Whited
Nightlord: Sunset is the first book of the Nightlord Series. Eric is a school teacher and engaged to marry Terri. She ends their relationship and calls off the wedding suddenly. His friends take him out drinking to cheer him up and so he can try to get over Terri. The next thing he remembers is waking up in a strange bed and he can’t remember how he got there. Then the beautiful Sasha greets him with a huge breakfast. She thinks that Eric is her long-dead husband reincarnated because he promised her that one day he would return to her even in death. She lets Eric know she has an illness and has given it to him. Sasha tells him he is a dayblood, a vampire that has not died. Sasha teaches Eric to cope as a dayblood, and she teaches him to use a sword, a very special sword.
Eric finds books in Sasha’s home library on magic. He reads about casting spells, and using symbols. He takes notes and tries casting a spell, and it works! Eric and Sasha became devoted to each other during the time they spent training with the sword and learning magic. contniue reading
Serial K by Brian Gallagher
Serial K is a book about Craig Breedlove a wealthy sociopath, and he is a serial killer. He idolizes the most well know serial killers like Gacy and Dahmer and wants to be like them but better. He plans to kill several people and then disappear into the night. Breedlove claims he will never be caught. He thinks the police are not working fast enough to connect the murders, so he informs the media.
Ryan O’Callahan is the FBI Special Agent and he wants on the serial killer investigation. He has written some novels on serial killers and in doing so had to do a lot of research. He convinces his boss to get him assigned to investigate the case and to bring in his ex-wife Lea Pucci FBI Profiler. They get the “go ahead” and team up to stop this serial killer. They have a plan to find him, but he will have to commit another murder before they can execute their plan. continue reading
Heartaches 2: Bad Boy Vibes by H. M. Irwing
Heartaches 2 is a book about lies, physical and emotional abuse, and betrayal. Anna and Rafe each have recurring nightmares of the horrors from their past. The abuse they endured in their past has both clinging to each other as a lifeline. They work hard at leaving their past behind, but a wedding party has them meeting the abusers of their nightmares face-to-face. continue reading
Becoming the Dragon by Alex Sapegin
Becoming the Dragon is about Andy, a 16-year-old boy who is transported, accidentally by his father, to another world. He is chased by strange animals, sold, caged, and beaten. Through all of that he finds the courage to survive. He makes friends with some of the strangers he meets, including a dragon, and learns a few words of their language. He also makes enemies that want to see him writhe in pain. continue reading
Wedding Cake Murder by Joanne Fluke
Wedding Cake Murder, book 20 in the series, is about a murder in the little town of Lake Eden, Minnesota. Hannah, co-owner of The Cookie Jar, is about the marry, Ross, the love of her life. Hannah is also a contestant in the Food Channel Dessert Chef Competition. She wants to get married before the competition, but a telephone call spoils her plans. The competition has been moved up a week. During the competition, Hannah and her sister, Michelle, are doing a practice run for the next day’s event, but they find something unexpected. A body! Hannah needs to solve the murder before the contestants and judges leave, and before she gets married. Ross and the guests are at the church and they are getting anxious, will Hannah make to her own wedding? continue reading
Raven’s Peak (World on Fire Book 1) by Lincoln Cole

Raven’s Peak is about strange activity in Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains. Abigail has been sent to check out the strange activity to decide if it is evil or myths the townspeople have been telling. Before she goes there she must tie up some loose ends in Arizona. Haatim is approached by a man claiming that someone wants to kill him. He hires Haatim to follow Abigail. Abigail soon gets things taken care of and Haatim wants to go with her to Tennessee. At Raven’s Peak, she listens to a few people talking to each other and learns about some cabins. She finds out where the cabins are and sets off searching for the demon or whatever may be causing the problem. She soon realizes that the problem is evil, and more than she expected. She calls her boss to let her know that there is a demon there causing the problems, and it is strong. continue reading
